Ever slow down your gait in Grand Central Station to check out all the food vendors? One of our readers decided she'd like to go through, store-by-store, and bring us a review of each stall. Here's the first of many...
"Grand Central Market opened in 1999. The market consists of several vendors, each providing top quality, and in some cases gourmet, food. One can pick up a healthy, luscious meal for the evening - either already prepared for you, or you can walk through the market and buy everything necessary for a meal. It's a food wonderland and an excellent place for commuters.
First stop, Ceriello Fine Foods: This vendor is mostly a butcher, featuring incredible steak, salami, etc., but they also have a huge variety of fresh pasta (my favorite product to buy), bottled sauces, and all things Italian. One could easily buy all the fixings of a great meal and go home happy. They even have amaretto cookies! I did have their aged porterhouse once which was delicious."
