Founded by a former lawyer and her parents, the Artisan Cheese Gallery in Studio City is a cheerful and charming destination for anyone with a more than a passing interest in cheese.
The friendly and knowledgeable staff is more than happy to tell you about the 200 different cheeses they regularly stock, which represent 14 countries and 12 different states. Many of them come directly from the cheesemakers themselves. In addition to cheese, crackers and other fromage related accoutrement, the store offers such gourmet delights as flavored mustards, specialty peanut butters, jams, salsas and pickles, olives, oil, and vinegar.

Definitely a fan of the place. My only advice is to avoid going there on a Sunday morning when the farmer's market is going on behind the shop. They get a little busy during that time!
It's a subtle point but for future reference, they're called "recovering" not "former" lawyers... one never really gets over being a lawyer. The shop does sound delightful.
