I'm actually very excited about him coming back although I'm a bit leery about this show as it sounds more "lifestyle" than giving recipes any of us can cook (because of the nature of the ingredients).

Jamie is in my top 3 of celebrity chef recipes anyone can cook/play with (him, Ina and Rick Bayless) and top 5 celebrity chef personalities (him, Bourdain, Ramsey-BBC version only, Ina and Nigella).

You know, his show is very good and he seem like a very good and creative chef. But ! ..... the way the camera tries to make it "exciting" by moving all over the place just get me dizzy and cross eye! But that's just me.

In Canada, they're already broadcasting this show, and I like it much more than I'd expected. (Not that I don't like Jamie Oliver, but I do find him overexposed, which makes me less inclined to watch him on TV.)

cweingarten, I actually find the recipes on this show easier to follow than on his others. He tends to focus on just one simple main ingredient as the foundation for the three or four dishes he creates in each episode, and the recipes themselves are fairly simple. The episodes featuring potatoes and onions are my favourites so far. And the show's setting is lovely -- very rural and calming. It makes me wish I still lived on a farm.

I like Jamie Oliver but definitely agree with the the program being more of a lifestyle statement than cooking lessons.

I remember when the Naked Chef first came out and people I knew that didn't even cook bread (toast) felt like they wanted to cook. I don't think they actually did but they got the book and were really excited about the idea of cooking!

I'll bet the show will also be making a statement with the "rural and calming" setting that Doppelganger described. Pushing the local, sustainable and organic angle. I'm sure it will come off great as Oliver grew up in his familie's pub in the country and honed his skills at the River Cafe, England's Chez Panisse.

I'm so EXCITED about Jamie's new show. I'm thrilled to see gardening worked into a cooking show :-)

I liked the casual quality of the show... and it made me want a greenhouse full of veggies. I'll take this over Tyler Florence any day.

I enjoyed watching Jamie battle it out on Iron Chef. I thought he was going to win!
