Fantastic books with 3 ingredients only. GREAT!

I have Recipes 1-2-3 and Healthy 1-2-3 and they're both great. But, if you're considering buying any of her books, you should look at them first. They're not based on ingredients everyone has in their cupboard. You will need to shop for many of the ingredients and some are expensive, but the result will always be worth the price, if you can afford the price in the first place.

oh my goodness - i LOVE her! I can't believe I saw her on this site! (and yet....i can ; ) She is the person who seriously inspired me to really play in the kitchen - wow - Healthy 1-2-3 was my first book of hers and I have given it as a gift so many times! I have enjoyed so many of her recipes, she's great!

True, many of her ingredients are specialized and only work if you live downtown in a major city w/access to special ingredients (and/or have the $$$ to blow on fancy items--candied violets, hello?). HOWEVER you can improvise a LOT of it and come up with some fantastic stuff on your own. If you're poor, it's a great guidebook (and honestly, there's a LOT in there that IS affordable).

I learned so much about the many ways to use an ingredient, it's just frickin' awesome! I'd be her personal assistant in a second!
