Star-shaped cookie cutters - we have a ton of them, for some reason. Maybe it's because the pointy edges are so fun to bite off one by one.

Maybe that's also why we keep coming back to this recipe for Zimtsterne (Cinnamon Star Cookies), a traditional German Christmas cookie.

They're made from almonds and cinnamon, and glazed with sweet egg white icing. These would also make beautiful Hanukkah treats.
