The Food Snobs Annotate Michael Ruhlman's Kitchen

2008_04_12-Ruhlman.jpgWhen Michael Ruhlman relaunched his website, he put up this lovely photo of him in his Cleveland kitchen. New York magazine and the authors of the Food Snob's Dictionary found it the perfect opportunity to point out all Food Snob tropes embodied in the picture. Ruhlman went along in good fun and gave them an interview: Inside Michael Ruhlman’s Food-snob Kitchen. He offers the provenance of his huge meat mallet, copper pans, and even his own Etonian flip.

Go read - we found it hilarious.

Looks like a very nice, solid well-equipped kitchen. It should be as he writes about professional chefs.

I leave my Ruhlman comments at that. I'll leave the "next iron chef" debacle out of it.

I actually have that Calphalon pan - maybe a slightly smaller version? I bought it as part of a whole set for $20 at a garage sale.

Yes, I am very proud of that.
