More Chinese New Year Recipes from Rasa Malaysia

2009_01_26-rasacollageEd.jpgAre you cooking Chinese food tonight? We're planning a last-minute (hardly authentic) scramble of Chinese broccoli, scallions, eggs, and some leftover farro. But what we're really craving is one of these beautiful dishes from Asian food blogger Rasa Malaysia...

Her collage itself is colorful and so tempting. But the recipes that go along with these photos all sound delicious and not too difficult. There's a quick stir fry of shrimp and snow peas, sweet and sour pork that's not overly sugary, and bright Chinese greens with oyster sauce.

All of them are healthier and fresher than what you'd get in a take-out container. Maybe something will inspire you...

Thanks so much for introducing me to this site!

I live in Paris, and unless you go to one of the neighborhoods with a large asian population, good asian food (with the exception of Thai, which is super trendy right now) is almost impossible to find.

I was able to make a fantastic homemade Lunar New Year feast for my very grateful husband (btw, rasamalaysia, he LOVED the chicken siu mai. It was also surprisingly easy - I'll be making it again later this week!)

Mmmmm.... I sooo miss good Chinese food that I do not have to cook for myself (dumplings are too much work with 2 young children!).... I will definitely check out these recipes, but I still wish there were good ethnic restaurants here! (Geneva, Switzerland). I am soooo craving 'Pho from back home, and Sri Lankan dosas, and soup dumplings....!
