Lunchtime Browsing: Fall Dessert Slideshow at Gourmet

2008_09_29-gourmetapple.jpgGourmet's website frequently sucks us in with the slideshows, and the latest one is a great place to find inspiration for fall dinner parties, upcoming holidays, or just an easy weeknight dessert. We love the filling buried way down in the baked apple core, above. See another one of our favorites, below...

Yum! I just made some crowd-friendly baked apples for a bbq competition.

By crowd-friendly I mean, peeled cored and sliced but held together so that slices could be easily spooned for the guests.

Mine were stuffed with toasted pecans, golden raisins, brown sugar, curry and butter.
