I'm not a big fan of the towel - it sends the wrong message. Clearly its not a paper towel, so why does it need to be stated that way? Not for the owner - but for guests, to let them know that paper towels are wasteful and this household does not use them for everything.

The problem is its also got an attitude problem, like the stereotype of the hybrid driver who has a holier-than-thou attitude about their car and themselves vs other drivers and their pollutemobiles.

Its the kind of thing that provides ammunition to the Limbaugh-types who will use whatever they can to promote an anti-intellectual "culture war" that's just pointless and insulting.
