I saw that GORGEOUS orange Big Chill fridge at the Southern Food & Wine Show this past weekend. It was SO pretty!

When we redid our kitchen (moderate NYC apartment) we tried to figure out how to fit that Big Chill Orange Fridge in there (they have them at Krup's on 18th St.). The problem was that the clearance for opening the door was too big for our fridge niche (the door is rounded and has that beautiful chrome handle), and the fridge is too deep (wide) to fit in our kitchen opening.

We called Big Chill (we were really trying) to find out about the minimum clearances and taking the door off to get it in the kitchen, but it wasn't going to work. They said they were going to make a smaller apartment size one in the future.

To get over the loss of orange we redid the floors with a great sheet of orange speckled marmoleum (carried by Aronsons).
