A stand for your boxed wine? Practical, or tacky? You tell us. Plus pork meatballs and Guinness floats.

• Stout & Root Beer Float with Wattleseed Ice Cream - At Peace Love & Chocolate. Wow.
• Caraway Pork Meatballs with Tzatziki - This is exactly what we want to eat tonight.
• Boxed wine stand - We don't know whether to admire the practicality of this boxed wine stand, or to just crack up over it.
• Silver tea strainers - At The Paris Market & Brocante.
Oh boy. Boxed wine belongs inside a cabinet!

The stand for the boxed wine is definitely practical in my opinion because no matter what, it always drips. By elevating the box, you can place a glass underneath the spout to catch all excess, thereby using it to the very last drop! I would never buy a stand though, I would just make one. But honestly, in my house, a box of wine doesn't last long enough to warrant a special piece of furniture for it since I like to make this drunken pasta dish a lot -- http://bit.ly/49GDZi

why not drag the boxed wine to the edge of the counter and then pour? Seems like a waste of money to buy a stand.

no, it's a bit awful i'm afraid.
far nicer to decant it into a lovely glass something-or-other and place it on the table.

Yeah I don't know about the stand for the boxed wine...it's nothing special, why not prop the box on something pretty? Or decant it?
But I like the look of those meatballs!
