What is stem ginger? And when he says "grill" does he mean boiler? I thought this was going to be something we could make up on our roof on the grill! And can we find biscuits like that in our standard American market? Help translate this recipe!

Yes, grill = broiler.

Stem ginger in syrup looks like this: http://www.gingerpeople.com/stem-ginger-in-syrup.html. All I did was google. That's often helpful when you are trying to figure out what an unfamiliar ingredient looks like.

Shortbread biscuits are probably in your cookie aisle, but if they aren't, either use shortbread cookies or google for a recipe and bake them yourself.
