When searching for a picture of a (real) oven on Flickr, we came across this hand-crocheted creation from crafter Yummy Pancake. Could this be any more adorable? We have some bad news, though...

We went to Yummy Pancake's Etsy shop, but the Easy-Bake Oven is nowhere to be found. So we contacted Denise, its creator, who told us that she was so happy with the way it turned out, she sent it to Seattle to be sold at the Plush You! craft show in October.
Fortunately, Denise has plenty of other food-related items for sale. A few of our favorites:
Mr. Toastee, $9
Gustav the Asparagus, $10
Cornelius the Corn, $17 (the cob comes out of the husk- so cute)
Donut of Glee, $8
You can see more of Yummy Pancake's plush toys and buy them here:

When I first saw the oven pic I thought I was looking at Unplggd - it looks like a yellow knit facsimile of a gamecube. As for the others, perhaps its the filthy nature of my brain, but I wasn't exactly seeing an asaparagus... especially with the hand & its grip. And the donut...
ANYWAY, the toast is very cute, as are all the others :)

This is probably unpopular of me to say, but I just have never understood the appeal of knit or crocheted food stuffs. I think they're stupid. Except maybe as kids toys. But it doesn't look like they're meant as kids toys. I guess they're cute, but really, they're just kind of pointless to me. To be fair, I feel that way about almost all of the amigurumi stuff, but for some reason, the food really bugs me.
