Be warned - the packaging for this model says that it fits all KitchenAid mixers - but it doesn't! I bought this same one from a retail store (not this very one - but the same model) and tried to fit it on my old mixer. The dasher didn't seem to fit quite right, so I called KitchenAid support - and it doesn't fit all models.
If you have a "modern" mixer, you should be ok. Supposedly.
