Handmade Color: 10 Colorful Etsy Finds For the Kitchen

Shopping inside the confines of Etsy is like letting a 4 year old loose inside a candy store — with money! Handmade items are usually inexpensive and made with lots of love, so we tend to roam around and point while saying, "Mine! Mine!" So come take a little shopping trip with us and check out 10 of our favorite colorful Etsy finds.

We like to think of our Etsy finds like shopping with a good friend. Roaming around a store, picking up different items and holding them above your head to show off your new found treasure. Come on a mini shopping excursion with us and see what our Etsy travels discovered this morning. We focused on color, since today is, after all, the kickoff of our Room for Color contest at Apartment Therapy!

Here are a few delicious ways to bring some handmade color into the kitchen.

How many of these kitschy items do you really need or use regularly. I don't have the space to store knickknacks. The mulitfunctional tools I have work just fine and don't need replaced. Save your money for important things.

Seller makes beautiful Pepper mills/grinders from reclaimed American Black Walnut, Yellow Poplar, Ash, cherry, and mahogany. I have purchased several as gifts and one for my kitchen table.

I bought these supercute S&P shakers but my kitten knocked them off the table and they broke. I almost cried.

This is a beautiful mug by one of my favorite sellers. (And I don't think there's anything wrong in having a few special items in the kitchen, even if they're not multifunctional - they're what give a home character!)

Kitschy? Really? Handmade may not be to your taste, but everything I see here has a definite purpose and I would certainly use most of them on an everyday basis. What's wrong with decor in the kitchen?

I'm racking my brain trying to imagine how on earth salt shakers and washcloths are useless items that could be replaced with something "multifunctional."

Kudos to AT for the plug to Etsy. Buying handmade is great!

Uncle! Boy am I getting torched regarding the "kitschy" comment. Sorry. If you have the financial means and freedom to purchase what you want and kitchen space to put them, then have fun.
I'm grateful to have enough for food on the table.

I find that my fellow Etsy sellers like me sale items made with love, orignal and a lot of times one of a kind.

I love Etsy = hand made the only way to go!
