Vintage Griffiths Milk Glass Spice Jars
eBay Scavenger 04.08.08

2008_04_08-eBay.jpgWe posted a question yesterday about spice jars and it got us thinking about vintage spice containers. Here's a whole Scavenger focused on just a few of the beautiful vintage spice jars you can find on eBay.

Some of our favorites are the vintage Griffiths milk glass spice jars you can find with or without their labels. The green-lidded set on the top left is currently going for $20.50 and the auction ends April 12. The red-topped pair is going for $8 and ends April 9.

More vintage spice jars below, including Griffiths milk glass jars with their labels...

One of my most prized kitchen antiques. A complete set of griffin's with the black embossing, in their red deco spice rack.

I also have a set of griffin's that i lurve. Anyone have ideas for replacing the lables? I've tried a couple mock-ups in MS pub but it's never right. I'd really like to use them but my hubs hated my system of taping the store bought label onto the bottom of the jar.

Ah-ha do you have the means to make a decent scan of your labels? Anyone else interested in e-mailing me a label scan?

My set only had one label and it was only partial.

Ha, my mother STILL has the Tupperware set somewhere. She'll deny it, but I so know she does. We kept cinnamon sugar in the brown one when I was a kid.

I don't know about how much I'd love the vintage - I'm pretty in love with my magnetic containers attached to my fridge.
