We've talked about Dansk Kobenstyle cookware in the past, but we couldn't help pointing out this bright yellow pot for sale on eBay. It just looks so cheery, like a soup or stew cooked in this would just have to be good. It's going for $9.99 and the auction ends March 5.
And don't forget that you can post your own kitchen and tabletop items for sale at The Kitchen's classifieds!

I love the look of Dansk, but I rarely see this stuff sold with LIDS. Anybody know what the story is? I'm pretty sure many of the pieces were sold with lids originally...
I'm guessing they were just lost over the years.
Guido, I think (just a theory) that the cookware was sometimes sold in large sets with interchangeable lids--one lid might go with two or more bottoms (a small paella pan AND a medium dutch oven, etc.). So when a set is broken, some pieces are left orphaned.
I have a fabulous set of vintage Pyrex like that. 3 casserole dishes (one deep, one shallow, one segmented), one lid. Wonderful and all...until you need to make 3 casseroles for a holiday dinner or a potluck.
I took a long hard look at the Dansk, but finding lids can be such a pain. I like how the handles are done though; I bet that pot is so much easier to tilt.
nora, that makes a world of sense
and verily, the lids are gorgeous on the Dansk, like those handles
Most of the ones on Ebay I saw a year or two ago had lids. I have one with a lid that I bought off Ebay too easily--I didn't expect to win the bidding, and I was just "practicing." It was about $20 or $25 w/ shipping for a 2-quart. But I can't say that I'm really pleased with it--it's not thick enough to really retain heat like Le Creuset or Staub.
