This just in from Dido: "In Turkey, yogurt is an essential element in every summer lunch or dinner. We have so many refreshing recipes made with yogurt. This is my favorite one, because it is both so yummy and healthy. Cacik, which originated in Turkey, became famous in US, as Tzatziki by Greek people."
Cacik
1 cup plain yogurt
2 small cucumbers, peeled and diced into small cubes
3 tablepsoons finely chopped walnuts (to give crunchy taste)
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh dill
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 clove of garlic, (minced in salt)
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
crushed red pepper, as a garnish
whole walnuts, as a garnish
Mix yogurt with cucumber, walnuts, dill, lemon juice, and garlic. Drizzle oil on top. To garnish, sprinkle crushed red pepper, and whole walnuts.
Thanks, Dido!

Oh, it's the best thing for the heat that's around the corner...
Thanks, Dido - for reminding:)

who ever wrote the nasty comment is extremely stupid. Just because something is called "turkish"doesn't mean it comes from turkey. Ignorant Idiot.
To Maria:
First of all, what are you, 5 years old? Can't you address people decently and more importantly in an intelligent way? Second, calling it Turkish means that it is made in the Turkish way (not that it comes from Turkey necessarily), which is a completely different way of making it than the Greek way. It has far better flavor and texture.
Can't you hateful people make an argument without making total fools of yourselves?
