New York Times Tours Kitchens

Double Dose We just rounded-up The New York Times food section yesterday. But, we wanted to make sure you don't miss the news for cooks in today's House and Home section: Kitchen Tales. Here's our round-up of the section over on AT:NY.

While we're rounding up New York kitchens, what do you make of the kitchen in this week's New York Magazine? There's a huge spice rack, sprouting Jack and the Beanstalk style from the center island. Hot or not?

Haven't people been saying on here that spices need to be in the dark? Though they're very convenient out in the open.

I think the spice in the dark place just means not in direct contact with bright hot sunlight. Love this spice rack fro the creative and ingenious use of space, and the functionality of it.

I understand it's design is to disguise plumbing. Nevertheless, it's butt ugly and not in a good way.
