National Food Roundup: Homemade Freezer Pops
From Nationwide Newspaper Food Sections 7.22.09

2009_07_23-roundup-popsicles.jpgIt's the perfect time for homemade freezer pops, and flavors like mango lassi and Southern sweet tea sound so refreshing. Plus, a giant fruit that looks like a "strange, fat animal with reptilian green skin."

This looks an awful lot like the last page in a recent issue of Gourmet...

Thanks for this post! Since my ice cream maker broke down I've been needing inspiration for homemade popsicles. Recently I used Alton Brown's Fudgepop's recipe and alternated the mixture with bands of pureed banana and put mini trader joe's peanut butter cups into the chocolate. So fun!

I was actually wondering where a person might be able to get the paper wrapping like commercial freezer pops have. It would make it easier to do a bunch ahead and store.
