Is there a heat wave in your area? Maybe you've joked that it's hot enough to fry an egg on your car. Well, how about baking a batch of cookies on your dashboard?
Last year, we told you about a woman who found a way to turn her car into a part-time oven, and now we've found a recipe that walks you through the process.
More on that below. Plus, learn the real story behind that dramatic phone call in Julie & Julia.

Although I love the smell of cookies baking, I'm not sure I want my car smelling like them!

The Oregonian recently had a video on their site showing how to accomplish this

When we had our heat wave a couple of weeks ago, I actually thought about wrapping a couple potatoes in foil and put them on the dashboard in the morning then hoping they would be done by the time I get home.

Just did it the other day. The cookies were too thick [by far] so they didn't cook as much as I wanted them to. I had to take them out early, as a big storm was looming... came about 30 seconds after I got in with them. Tasty, but I'm not a a cookie person - too sweet. The smell came out pretty quick, fortunately.
