Hot or Not: New Bon Appétit Website

2008_05_13-BonApp.jpgClassic food mag Bon Appétit launched a new website yesterday with a look that was begun a little while ago with their new logo. We're impressed with what we've seen so far; we like that they are organizing it around their top 100 foods, with links to tips and products that related to each recipe. Very clean and well laid-out, too.

But do we need another food magazine online? What do you think? Between this and the new Gourmet online we have so much good reading to do we're not sure how we'll keep up! Take a look at their new website and tell us...

I really like what Bon Appetit's been doing, both in print and online: selling their content with stunning professional photos. The consistently high-quality photos have a style unique to Bon Appetit that distinguishes it from other food sites.

The photos also make the actual print magazine a pleasure to buy and read; I'd be curious to know if their print readership has increased with the redesign. (I'm betting yes.)

I really love Bon Appetit. This month's issue is wonderful. I just made dinner tonight using a recipe out of the issue and it was so easy and delish, I'm still amazed. I think I'm going to go ahead and get a 2 year subscription. Right now it's very reasonably priced at $1 an issue.
