For really delicious cold noodles, I recommend Korean naengmyun made with buckwheat noodles. It can be made mild of spicy with an iced (with ice cubes broth) and topped with sliced beef or pork, hard-boiled egg, sliced cucumber and sliced pear for a savory-sweet flavor.

I'm always struggling to find hearty yet summery meals to make. This one caught my eye and I had to try it out. Being a poorer college student, the price point was right and considering I had a lot of the base ingredients, a generous two portions cost me about $8 for veggies (carrot, zuccini, sprouts, & fresh corn) & proteins (egg, turkey, & tiny shrimp). The best thing about it in my book was that I used two packages of $0.10 Top Ramon that is a staple in any college students life, but jazzed up like nothing else before. This will certainly be on my new summer rotation.
