I avoid wheat and gluten and my husband indulges in bread only once in while when he pulls out his favorite olive oil, so it is difficult for our household to finish a whole loaf of bread or even one baguette while fresh. I have some brilliant yellow Moonglow tomatoes, fresh sage and stale bread on hand this morning, Pappa al Pomodoro should make a good lunch or early dinner for him today. What a simple way to keep our leftovers from going to waste!
