My lasagna is in the oven right now! I made the roasted tomato sauce earlier in the week, made the pasta yesterday & got the remaining veggies from the farmer's market. Tomorrow I'll make waffles for the family, topped with fresh peaches. Yum! Hopefully I'll get to go to out to dinner tomorrow night....

Applesauce! I'm excited to bring the tastes of fall into my kitchen and apples seem to be calling to me. Also going to attempt to find some good soup recipes since I am the new proud owner of an immersion blender. Wondering what else I can make asides from soup though!

Blueberry pie for dessert after a lobster bake tonight, peach french toast casserole for breakfast tomorrow and some sort of chicken with homemade peach bbq sauce for dinner tomorrow night. Must use up the last of my peaches!

The ten pounds of peaches from this week's CSA box are going to find themselves into a pie. or three.

I'm just worried about finding a use for the plums.

(can't make ice cream or sorbet, the freezer doesn't work)

It's time for some baby back ribs on the rotisserie. I need something to gnaw on while I think up a recipe for the Quick Weeknight Dinner contest...

@sciencegeek, there was a really great recipe on this site about a year ago for plum-earl grey preserves. Wonderful way to use up a lot of plums.

I just made four different salads to use up our CSA veggies and to eat on our way to...holy crap...Zanzibar. Long plane rides.

I worked from home yesterday. Cool and rainy days here. I made oatmeal cookies with dried cranberries. I haven't been eating too many sweets lately, but I had a bear of a week at work, and I needed the comfort of firing up the old Kitchen-Aid!

Today I'm going out to the country with friends so I don't think I'll cook. But I need to start planning some Fall cooking binges--especially a trip to the farmers market to load up on tomatoes for sauce to freeze.

@cmcinnyc:
I'm totally intimidated by anything involving canning. I should be perfectly fine with the idea of keeping things sterile because I have to do this at work, but maybe the fact that even there things get contaminated serves to make me more cautious.

ah, never mind, the recipe is for immediate use not canning. Just realized that I'm missing the lemon, so I can't do this right now.

Instead, time to make pie. Pie for breakfast is the best thing.

Just used leftover bread and tomatoes in a panzanella. So easy and so yummy!

I'm making eggplant puttanesca, swiss chard and arugala frittata for week day meals, and an apple crisp. All made with veggies from my garden or the farmers market and fresh eggs from an area farm.

Last night we had penne w/ricotta and slow roasted tomatoes that I had prepared the night before. Today was a baking day of sorts: the whole wheat blueberry muffins posted earlier in the week courtesy of Gourmet magazine, butterscotch cashew blondies for a friend's birthday tomorrow and for dinner, my husband made his famous deep dish, Chicago-style pizza. I'm well sated-both physically and mentally.

I made chicken with corn and black beans and the kids made homemade corn tortillas. Off to do some mini cheesecakes now...

I had friends over for dinner last night. On the menu was:
Salmon with a maple teryaki glaze
Roasted asparagus
Forbidden rice
Raspberry almond yogurt cake

Friends brought the wine and the good conversation.

Today I'm making fried rice with the left over rice from last night for lunch. Dinner is going to be a white chili with chicken and some corn bread. Yum!

We had a random chilly Saturday in the 40s so I busted out my dutch oven and packed it with fresh corn, mushrooms, peppers, onion, potatoes, and herbs for a stew.

Sunday weather was getting back to normal so it was a quick and dirty pasta alfredo and huge salad with greens, nuts, pears, and parmesan.

I didn't get to them this weekend but I have peaches and green beans to can on Monday night.

Cooked all day yesterday! Curried zucchini soup, tomato sauce for pasta, chicken fricassee, carrot cupcakes, veggie-taco-meat taco salads, kale chips, and i'm sure there was something else...
