Slow Food Guide to San Francisco is Out!

2006_02_17-slow-food-SF.jpgGood new for our friends in the Bay Area... Slow Food has just released its third city guide. It's about time! With profiles of more than 500 restaurants, markets, specialty shops and artisan producers, it's a great way to explore the culinary riches that San Francisco has to offer..

We have the New York edition and find it to be a great cross between the Zagat Survey of NYC Restaurants, the Zagat Survey of the NYC Gourmet Marketplace and some really good guidance from a friend who knows us well. The San Francisco guide should be just as delicious.

The Chicago guide is really good, too. The writing does feel like recommendations from a trusted friend. I'm happy that more of these are coming out.

Of course! How dare we not mention Chicago! I've added links for all the guides. Thank you!

For any of you passing through or thinking of settling in eastern Iowa, Iowa City boasts an amazing close-to-the-source slow food restaurant called The Red Avocado. My husband and I eat at this vegan paradise so often we were told by one of the owners that we pay their rent. Gladly!
