Ten Things I Love: Jackie's Handicrafts

2009_02_27-Jackie.jpg2009_02_27-JackieThumbs.jpgWe love seeing all the hardworking and lovingly worn things in our readers' kitchens. Here is another set from reader Jackie, who has collected many small kitchen treasures from her family and from Costa Rica.

1 - 3 small wooden bowls I bought from a small roadside wood workshop in Costa Rica.
2 - Medium sized hand made bowl passed down from my boyfriends mother.
3 - 2 giant matching coffee mugs my boyfriend and I bought from a sustainable farm in Costa Rica.
4 - Random assortment of masonry-type jars. So different and so functional.
5 - Japanese tea pot given to me as a gift. Great gift.
6 - This used to be home to a porcelain salt & pepper set, but I've re-purposed it for coffee sugar spoons.
7 - Salad spoons, a recent Christmas present. Have gotten little use out of them yet, but still love them.

Thank you, Jackie, for showing us your kitchen treasures.

These are lovely - the teapot especially. It's the mishmash of handmade items I love; that's what makes kitchens so inviting.
