Create a Collage of Kitchen Tools: Two Examples
LivingEtc

2009_11_10-Collage.jpgWe've talked a lot about using a peg board in the kitchen to store pots and pans within easy reach on the wall. We don't have the space for a peg board, but we like the look and functionality, so we're thinking about creating a smaller collage of some of our favorite (and more unique) kitchen tools.

2009_11_10-Collage2.jpgWe have several wooden spoons that we especially like, and some whisks that we think would look just great up on the wall. They wouldn't get any dustier or dirtier there than in the open jar by the stove, and they might make a nice collage.

What do you think? Would you hang some of your smaller kitchen tools on the wall like this?

I hang mine on a wall! My pot lids are on the wall, too, but it's really nice having a spot for the bulky, drawer-unfriendly items. It's primarily items like whisks, tongs, ladles and potato mashers, and not only does it free up drawer space, it keeps my go -to items within reach.
It is less of a vignette than these lovely pictures though, but perhaps I should change that!

Your photos remind me so much of a cafe in Alexandria, Virginia called Buzz. They have a cute, though purely decorative, display of antique kitchen tools mounted to the wall. Photos here and here.

The first one looks a little random. I don't think plastic or silicone kitchen utensils would look that great stuck on the walls.

Love that first kitchen (except for how things are hung on the wall) -- the wall colour, the floor, the chairs (soooo beautiful!)

I have one that I made out of an old window screen I found and refurbished. It's the perfect kitchen art as it's beautiful and useful.

I don't have enough space for wall storage but I think it's a great way to display the utensils. The blue wall color is great.
