I am beginning to plan my daughter's first birthday party and I am looking for a cake recipe that I can feel good about her eating. It was either late summer/early Fall when one of the editors posted a recipe for a cake that almost reminded me of carrot cake in that it actually had some good for you fruits/veggies in it-perhaps they were apples?-and it wasn't too sweet. Can anyone help? It will need to feed approximately 10-12 people and/or be adaptable to cupcakes. Thanks so much!

What is the best way to pack a freezer? As a single person living alone I end up with quite a bit of stuff in my freezer. I've got everything from farmer's market marrow bones to frozen vegetables.

I've heard everything should be crowded together, to preserve the cold, or spread out to let the air circulate. Any sage advice?
