One of the dishes I'm planning on making is a stir fry with garlic scapes, yellow squash and fresh tomatoes.

Another is an Inidan styled omelet.

Will also try to make a few recipes from Mark Bittman's How to cook everything vegetarian cookbook.

Happy weekend!

Slow cooker chicken paprikash...because it doesn't heat up the kitchen as much to use the Crock Pot.

Good idea about fixing a crockpot meal. Maybe I'll do a chicken that way.

Tonight, I'm going to make a salad with greens from my garden, cold leftover chicken, hard boiled eggs and vegetables I bought at the farmers market. No tomatoes, though. Until my own come in, I'll take a pass.

We're celebrating Father's Day with a big BBQ of shish-kababs, roasted corn, coleslaw and cheesecake for dessert.

Mmm Mmm can't wait!

Saturday we're spending the afternoon on the Riverboat for my firm's summer social, and then we're enjoying a nice dinner over looking Edmonton's famous rivervalley on a hotel bistro patio.

Oh, did I mention it's open bar?
Dirty Martini's? Yes please.

tonight is salad with beets, boston lettuce, goat cheese & walnuts.

tomorrow is strawberry picking and then choosing what to do with all those lovely fresh berries. pie? fruit salad? sauce? or just sit on the couch and eat them straight from the container? (seriously, they are that good).
