Drunken Tuscan Pasta (vermicelli boiled in a bottle of chianti and water) with portabellos, pancetta, fresh rosemary, garlic, nutmeg and parmesan. Delicious!

Drunken pasta! Hmm. I know an Italian who might like that very much. Thanks for the idea, scuuster - do you have a recipe anywhere?

YES! It's actually a *blush* Rachel Ray recipe that I got from one of her cookbooks. However, I just went and googled it and found a link to the same recipe here: http://www.recipezaar.com/203999. Enjoy!

I'm working on my sourdough loaves and think tonight I will make something with lentils. I cleaned out the fridge this weekend and now need to wheedle down the pantry. Tomorrow I'm in charge of salad for my cooking club.

I'm doing a recipe (ok, not much recipe involved) that I heard recently on KCRW's Good Food - a roasted aspargus bundle with a fried egg on top and a little parmesan. Quick and simple.

Happy Earth Day! We're cooking a lot of greens this week. Seems fitting. (although we do cook a lot of them every week).
