The cold weather is making me want a steamy bowl of Vietnamese soup - Phở. I wish there were places close by Ann Arbor, MI that served a decent bowl of this stuff. I think I'll just have to make it myself!

I live in the south, so it's a little warm for soup today- but if I had to choose I would have my husband's Crab and Brie Soup- unbelievably good!

During our long Chicago winters, I make a nice big pot of soup every Sunday afternoon. The pot makes for a nice, relaxed Sunday dinner, and then keeps me in healthy, quick lunches at work all week! This week I made a yummy batch of TVP (Texturized Vegetable Protein) two bean chili. The extra protein helps keep me warm and fueled all day!

I am planning on breakin out a new (to me) tomato soup recipe from smitten kitchen.

Although its been pretty balmy here in Boston, tomato soup and grilled cheese is the perfect meal to beat the chill.

Looks like Top Chef 4 has got some heavy hitting female constestants.

I've heard about two from Chicago and I just discovered that I used to work with one from San Francisco. She kicks ass!
