Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving. Many retailers offer special deals for early bird shoppers ... including pans, electrics, dishes and more. Rumors about these deals are popping up all over the web. People seem to raid newspaper insert print shops to score advance access to the specials!
We're haven't even finalized our Thanksgiving menu yet, but now we realize we don't want to miss any great sales on 11/23 either. Last year, we got a great deal on a Kitchen Aid mixer at Kohl's and we're up for more.
While Black Friday is still more than a week away, if you come across an unbeatable Black Friday deal or special coupon, please share them here. We'll round them up and let everyone know as the big day gets closer.
While much of the spotlight is on national chains on Black Friday morning, please keep an eye out for opportunities to support retailers too. (We'd like to send a quick shout out to the Moravian Book Shop and Cook Shop in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. They are one of our favorite stores to visit on the long Thanksgiving weekend.)

Check your newspaper inserts for sales scheduled for this weekend -- some stores are doing Black Friday-style sales a week early.

Black Friday (deal) is such a pain.
Personally, the day after Thanksgiving is my day for R&R not being run over by overzealous shoppers while waiting in never-ending cashier lines. And who can do all that scrambling around when one is filled with stuffing and pecan pies (yum!).
