We are planning on baking a lot of casseroles this winter. Casseroles don't need to be all about canned cream of mushroom soup and leftover turkey; we are plotting casseroles of smoked sausage and greens, fresh bread and eggs, creamy beans and shaved cheese. I fell in love with those blue casseroles at C & B a couple months ago, thanks for the sale heads up, or maybe no thanks since I haven't opened the catalog yet in fear of what I'll want to spend!
I did buy a bunch of Pyrex with lids last month. Not the prettiest casseroles around, but I loved having the lids for the holidays to be able to pop leftovers right into the fridge, and stack items since the lids are quite sturdy. Also bought smaller glass sets with lids that are awesome for reheating.
Finally, they are great for freezing. I often make baked manicotti puttanesca, and we eat half the recipe, and freeze the other half. It was awesome having it ready to go to eat the night before Thanksgiving, and again the night before Xmas Eve so that I didn't have to make anything but garlic bread before two big cooking days.

I have casserole dishes up the wazoo. They are a weakness of mine. Plus I have a friend who loves to shop and she buys them for me, too. No more room!
