We have been noticing some extra-low prices on Le Creuset at some of their more popular retailers. Amazon has Le Creuset oval French ovens on sale; the 2 3/4 quart size is going for $79.99, down from $165. This is the perfect size, we've found, for baking No-Knead Bread.

I find the bakeware occasionally at Marshall's for around $10-15. I'm only missing a nice rectangular dish, so this is tempting.

The french oven is the same price at sur la table, and they don't claim that it was originally $165. Amazon does this jacking up the original price thing a lot. so sneaky!

Aww, $80 is still out of my price range. I did find a little Le Creuset enamel-on-steel soup pot for $30 at Ross. I forgot just how big it is--3 or 4 quarts. I'm also not quite sure how ovenrproof it is; I know the handle isn't, and the box says certain pieces are only good up to 450 degrees, but it doesn't say which pieces.
