Three new farmer's markets plus the Fancy and UnFancy Food shows will make for a busy weekend for cooks here in NYC! If you have tips or pictures from these events, please send them to chris AT apartmenttherapy DOT com for a round-up next week.

And I believe (oh god let it be TRUE!!!) one opens a block from my apartment tomorrow in Bay Ridge as well at 4th Ave and Leif Erikson Park.
please (PLEASE!) let it be so!!

Thanks for posting this info! The Sunnyside one is nice, small, but seemed to have a good turnout at 9:30 this morning. I'd have loved to see some tomatoes instead of pie and cookies but the greens and strawberries are excellent.

I can't believe they're opening a market in my old hood! (Sunnyside) I've lived a block away from there all of my life up until a few months ago. sigh.. Can't wait to visit mommy and the market!

Lucky you! I live in a rural area. You'd think that I'd be surrounded by them. Sadly no. The only one is pitiful. Of course, if you like to purchase a chicken, get there early.
