Greenmarket Report: Fall Fruit Frenzy

It was busy at the Union Square Greenmarket yesterday afternoon. With Rosh Hashanah meals being prepared for, and the absolutely gorgeous weather, the market has been well used. By 1:30 p.m. many stands were running low, a few were even packing up. What was there was beautiful. This is such a stunning time of year - harvest. The fruits of autumn, especially, are striking.
