Of course soy affects male fertility -- it's a phytoestrogen.
There is a misunderstanding about how much soy is eaten in Asia, as well as how it is eaten -- soy "milk" (a marketing gimmick -- it is soy water, as in barley water) is unknown, and it is not present in every food eaten (read labels: in the U.S., it is present in just about every packaged food in the grocery store). In Asia, it is eaten well-fermented, and only a couple of tablespoons worth a day, at that. Most people are significant amounts of soy without even realizing it.
What is most alarming is the extensive use of soy "milk" formulas -- as one scientist put it, it is an enourmous medical experiment, afterall, we have no idea what the effect of eating so many phytoestrogens is on growing children, and we may not know for years to come.

The Veuve Cliquot--what an amazing story! I would have opened the cabinet on the first day I moved in, but that's just me, I guess.
