In the spirit of growth, new voices, and broader national coverage, we are introducing four wonderful new writers who will help nourish The Kitchn on a daily basis. We'll introduce them to you throughout this week and you'll see some posts going up from them too.
It is our pleasure to bring you Emma Christensen - Emma joins us from Boston, Massachusetts, home of "the wintry mix," Sam Adams beer, and fish (no, wait, clam!) chowder. She worked for several years in the publishing industry. Then one day she baked a loaf of bread. One thing led to another, and now she'll be graduating from culinary school in June. After which she's planning to sleep.

I would enjoy learning some regional New England style recipes. Simple stuff like chowders, lobster rolls, clam bakes, etc. With lots of photos. As a Midwesterner who hasn't really experienced the Northeast, this type of food has always looked good to me. Maybe I could learn a few secrets?
Enough about what I want.
Have fun Emma!

I enjoyed your piece on speck! I've never tried it, but now I'm curious and anxious to give it a taste.
Congratulations on your new post as an editor and your upcoming graduation!
