apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Call for Designs: Apartment Therapy Market Bag

7_18-canvas-bag-contest.jpgWe've been meaning to do this since we launched the site, and given recent events, we think it's high time for an "Apartment Therapy: Kitchen" market bag. We promise that you won't have to wait in line in the rain or get caught in a stampede for this one.

So pick up your crayons and get cracking; you don't need to be a professional designer to enter.

The simpler, the better. Designs should creatively include the words Apartment Therapy: The Kitchen in some way, shape or form. Other graphics or words are welcome that are in alignment with our mission. Please do not use more than two colors in your design.

We'll pick the top three and have readers vote on the winner. The winner will get small honorarium and a set of the bags. The runners-up will each receive one bag.

Either email your designs to us, or send them on paper to our office:

Apartment Therapy
Attn: Market Bag Design Contest
22 Howard Street #4i
NYC, NY 10013

The deadline is August 15.

Sounds like a fun project! (and a good product idea)

Is there a due date for submissions?

Eliza,

So sorry! It's August 15th - that was in there, but seems to have magically disappeared. I'll add it back.

Ohhh! I've started drawing already. bellaknollie, I agree, the "im not a plastic bag" fad was over the minute it started.

The "email" highlight isn't working. How do I submit my ideas?

I think it should say "I am not an Anya Hindmarch bag"

Mollybb stole my thunder! I was going to suggest "I'm Not A Plastic Bag Either"... But her line has more punch. LOL.

Thanks! I tried submitting some from work using your regular email address (kitchen@apartmenttherapy.com) is that ok?

Is more than one entry allowed per person?

While you're at it - have you considered a contest to design a new Apartment Therapy logo?

One that would stand on it's own and not have to be explained?

The current logo just doesn't make sense to me.

the Apartment Therapy site font... what is it exactly? is it proprietary or would we have access to it for use in logo design?
