From litigation to movie commentary to cute animals in this Monday morning's food news. First up: the man who claims he invented the microwave steamer bags in use by frozen food manufacturers is suing to get his rightful credit (and money).
Also, Julie Powell weighs on what Julie & Julia butchered, with a special spotlight on her beloved cat Maxine. Meanwhile another cat shows us all how to eat corn on the cob, since record corn production is causing series price meltdowns in the Midwest.

Hah! I thought my cat was a weirdo for loving corn so much, but I guess it's not that uncommon. I only give him niblets though, not the entire cob.

My dog loves corn on the cob. You have to be careful or she'll steal it right off the counter. She eats the whole thing.

my cat used to eat popcorn. Then I realized she was eating it for the butter. When i stopped eating buttered popcorn she stopped, still makes me a little sad. It was really cute.

My husband's cat used to rummage in the garbage to pull out corn cobs! Worse than a dog, they'd have to hide the bag to keep him from shredding it. He knew it was in there!
