An interesting choice for a Valentine's Day gift, Faith. Before anyone follows her lead, you should perhaps know that, in surveys, women consider Valentine's Day second only to their personal birthdays [and perhaps Christmas] in importance holidaywise. I'm all for tweaking traditions, but I just can't see how giving anything pig-related can possibly be a smart move on this particular day. The mind reels at the possible misconstrued messages it would deliver [and at the total lack of any apparent good message it could possibly deliver]--and not just once, but 12 times throughout the year!

I understand where you're coming from, and maybe I'm in a small minority, and, as with all gift-giving occasions, one should think carefully about the recipient before deciding on a Valentine's Day present, but I would L-O-V-E bacon of the month. It would be funny, delicious, and, most of all, a nice way for my hubby to show he knows where my priorities are. And by priorities, I mean delicious bacon.....

I got one of these for my brother in law a couple of years ago for Christmas. It was perfect! He loved it! The deliveries were prompt and well packaged.The meat was delicious and different every month AND it even came with a t-shirt and magnet. SWEET!
I've been debating whether I can put this on my wedding registry. Because I really, really, want it.
my husband got this for his birthday from his mom. we've had two shipments so far. i'm not an expert on bacon yet, but my husband wishes he got a big gift certificate to niman ranch instead, because that's his favorite bacon. he did like the pig nose that comes with the first package, though!

I love it....bacon every month and lots of other women who aren't afraid to say that they love it too. We're a long way from Scarlett O'Hara and her attempts to look like she eats like a bird....and it's great!

I've been getting this for my husband for years. He LOVES it. He gets so excited when the bacon delivery comes. It's quite cute.
