We've shown you pink in the kitchen before, but most of the spaces we've seen use pink in a sweet way—more cupcake frosting than Dancing with the Stars costume. What do you think of this look?

We sort of love how modern and crisp this kitchen is, mostly gray and white but with a tiny hint of aqua (a few bowls on the far shelf) so that it has dimension and doesn't feel too one-note.
And as striking as the color is, it's not overwhelming. Only the backsplash is painted. Plus, how cute are those pink chairs? Somehow the whole thing feels very grown up and sophisticated.

Would you ever go with hot pink in the kitchen? Any other bold, attention-grabbing colors you love?

I really like it. Maybe it's just the lighting, but it doesn't look so bright and "hot pink" to me. It's a little bit muted or dusty for a bright color.

How funny that you mention dance - I have an ice dancing costume for the cha cha congelada that is THIS color.
I think the pink looks really nice next to the grey countertops. The grey does a lot to mediate between the pink, black, and white and make it a more sophisticated color combo, IMO.
Would anyone else be constantly hungry for watermelon if you lived here?

I totally like this. Not such a pink person, but it really works here - though I'd definitely keep other accent colors to the non-pink variety.

Wow...it took a while for the photo to load after I read the words, and I was totally expecting some garish hot pink nightmare.
Instead, I love the gray and pink! Totally muted, totally classy.

It's more of a raspberry than a traditional pink, and it does look sophisticated.
I'd temper it with something in cherry red, though.
