San Francisco Market: 24th Street Cheese Company

2008_04_21-24StCheese1.jpgAfter picking up fresh produce at the Noe Valley Farmer's Market, it's nice to stop into the 24th Street Cheese Company two doors down. When we open the door and walk in, we're hit with the aroma of cheese, and it reminds us of similar cheese shops in Europe.

24th Street Cheese Company sells many types of cheese, cured meats, brined and pickled things, and gourmet food items. There's also freshly baked bread, wine, oils, and munchables. The folks behind the counter are friendly and knowledgeable about cheese, and will happily give you sample after sample of fromage goodness.

Oooh! This is my favorite cheese shop ever - it's exactly the same as it was about 35 years ago when I was a little girl in Noe Valley as is the hardware store next door.
