Tin and Teapot, Tea and Cake: Favorites from Toast

One of our favorite online shops is Toast, an apparel and home goods shop in the UK. International shipping is a doozy, so we look and don't buy, for now, but we do find their kitchen things very inspiring. Here are a few favorites from their current catalog. Taken all together, they inspire us to sit down this afternoon and have a proper tea.

• 1 Longpi Teapot - £39.00. Rustic artisan craftsmanship from India. The black finish is beautiful.

• 2 Longpi Mug - £16.50. Goes with the teapot.

• 3 Cake Tins - £25.00. We love these lidded cake tins! They are so pretty and yet practical. Anyone know of a similar sort in the US?

• 4 Linen Tea Towels - £5.50. Durable and long-lasting.

• 5 Duralex Picardie Glasses - £9.50 for six. These elusive French favorites are hard to find in the US.

I'm pretty sure Cost Plus/World Market still carries those Duralex glasses.

Whoever designs their photo shoots sees things the way I like to see them. Love the one of the tiled sink with tea towels strung over on a wire, I believe. I find simply looking at such images is somehow soothing and satisfying. Beautiful.
