The streamlined kitchen is made of plain marble with walnut wood countertops. Floating shelves and cutting boards made from wood remnants keep the look unified. In a neat trick, a cutting board was fitted to the size of the sink to hide dirty dishes from view.

Perspex works as a transparent, easy-to-clean backsplash. And they have treated the marble around the sink and stove so it can be wiped down easily and is not as disruptive and noticeable as tiles. The inexpensive cabinets were built to measure and mean that the bulk of the kitchen tools and tableware is hidden from view.

Natural wood floors make the kitchen seem more integrated into the flat, and natural, neutral-toned decorative elements like dark wood sculpture and vintage accessories like an old wooden egg crate keep the eye flowing straight out to the garden.
