These posters from a little French general store on Nantucket remind us of old periodic tables from chemistry class. We spotted the "trees of France" poster over at Apartment Therapy, and when we went digging, we found apples, potatoes, and all kinds of farm animals that would look great hanging in a kitchen...
We're particularly taken with the potatoes. It reminds us of Sara Kate's artistic representation of Sixteen Kinds of Potatoes.
If you're more into livestock, there are pigs, roosters, cows, sheep, and goats—should you wish to immortalize dinner on your wall.

This reminds me of something I did in my last apartment. The back coverpage of Cook's Illustrated had natural food paintings like these. I cut them off the magazine and framed them in simple acrylic frames and grouped them on the kitchen wall.
