Even though we are all about cooking - not restaurants - here at The Kitchn, we are always looking for inspiration when we eat out. A favorite lunch spot has this black bean soup simmered with whole chunks of spicy chorizo that smoke up the whole bowl. It's served with a little lump of avocado sour cream - so, so good!
Here's a recipe that we hope will approximate that incredible bowl of soup - Black Bean and Chorizo Chil from Cooking Light. It's a place to start, anyway.
Are there any recipes you've had out lately that you'd like to recreate in?

Mmm... I am going to be making this tonight. With soyrizo though. We are of the veggie sort.
Thanks AT!

That black bean and chorizo chili recipe from CL is one of my favorites! I love chorizo (and sausage in general) in soups -in fact, I made the Chickpea and Chorizo soup from the Kitchn the other day for lunch. Yummy!

Wow! We just made this exact chili yesterday. Weird. It turned out delicious- we've never cooked with chorizo before. The kind we bought really broke down in the chili, but it was still tasty and spicy.
