TJ's definitely has you covered for basics like flour, sugar, butter, milk, and eggs. If you're not in the mood to make your own crust, they have regular pie crusts and puff pastry in their frozen food section.

For fillings, we've always admired Trader Joe's jarred fruits for their selection and quality. These morello cherries, pears, or peaches would all make excellent pie fillings! Trader Joe's also has their own organic pumpkin pie filling.

Of course, don't forget all their frozen fruits! We find that TJ's prices are often better than in the regular supermarket - between $2.99 and $3.99 for typically a pound of fruit.

If you're thinking of using nuts in your crust or filling, check out what Trader Joe's has to offer. Not only do they have a good selection of different nuts, but you can usually find them shelled or unshelled, whole or in pieces, and salted or plain.

Trader Joe's also has lots of 'extras,' including a good variety spices, marscapone cheese, creme fraiche, and turbinado sugar for sprinkling on top. These are the things that can elevate your pie and let you make a recipe truly unique.
