Flavor Inspiration Board: Chili Pepper and Lime

These two ingredients make an unlikely, but absolutely terrific, pair! We love the burning heat of those chili peppers followed by a refreshing blast of lime juice. It's perfect in salsas and light dishes on hot late-summer evenings. Do you have a dish that combines chili peppers and limes?

South Texas is home to a condiment called "chilesallimon"(three words, 'chile with lime', but always rammed into one). Its irreplacable on a watermelon based fruit cup.

chile sal limon...best combo ever! my favorites are actually straight up junk food! chile limon lays chips and chile limon CHEETOS! i'm not a chips-n-cheetos super fan but these flavors are totally amazing. i'm on the east coast and miss them so much!

Oh I love the combination of chili and lime! I have a wonderful and easy soup that I make that combines these great flavors. It's based on the Mexican Sopa de Lima, but with added spinach.
